1st International Workshop on Semantic Link Network (SLN2008)
Linking Great Minds
Establishing Semantic Overlays on Various Computing Resources
Dec.3 - 6, 2008, Beijing, China
Various semantic links exist in the objective world and the subjective
world. They semantically link various resources and knowledge, help
human understand, learn and discover in the worlds. Hyperlink is a
special case of the semantic links. Could we construct a semantic overlay over various computing resources
to support semantics rich applications? Before asking this
question, many issues need to be explored. This workshop on
Semantic Link Network is to offer an international forum for researchers
on this topic.
Topics include but not limited to:
- Semantic Link Discovery
- Semantic Link Network Reasoning
- Semantic Link Network as data model
- Probabilistic Semantic Link Network
- Semantic Linked Community Discovery
- Emerging Semantic Links
- Semantic Linked Web 2.0
- Decentralized Semantic Link Network Overlays
- Applications of Semantic Link Network
Please submit your papers to workshop chair Prof. Hai Zhuge (zhuge(at)ict(dot)ac(dot)cn and zhuge(at)kg(dot)ict(dot)ac(dot)cn) before August 30, 2008.
Proceedings of SLN2008 will be published by IEEE Press. So, please use two-column IEEE Format and no
more than 10 pages.
The extended version of presented papers will be published in Future Generation Computer Systems (Impact Factor 1.095) as special issue/section.
